Always bad request

HI!
I got Bad request messages whatever I ask since last Friday. Cursor updated to 2.3.34.

How can I resolve this issue?

Hey, thanks for the report. ERROR_BAD_REQUEST is usually related to MCP settings or the Override OpenAI Base URL. Please try this:

  1. Settings > Tools & MCP: disable all MCP servers (if any), then restart Cursor
  2. Settings > Models > API Keys: turn off Override OpenAI Base URL, and temporarily disable any custom API keys if they’re enabled
  3. Start a new chat and try again. This helped some users

If that doesn’t help, please share:

  • Screenshots of Settings > Tools & MCP and Settings > Models > API Keys
  • A new Request ID after doing the steps above

  • The output of Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics
