Annoying Feature

Hello Team of Cursor Devs.

there is an annoying feature.

while clicking on up and down arrows

image

the thing moves to the left when the other box (with the number of other edited files) appears to the right of it, and the mouse pointer is suddenly on top of the “Reject file“, and I have come to click “reject file” too times now, hence this post.

Of course I can do a CTRL+Z to get the changes back, but it drives me a bit frustrated.

I appreciate your efforts, and maybe this is a minor, low priority thing, but making it work better for the user is not a bad idea.

thank you

Any news on this? Still clicking on the reject due to position shift. It does make me mad :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

Please move this reject button somewhere else.
When “review next file” appears I tend to click on “Reject file” while I am clicking on the up and down arrows.

This is very crucial.

I wanted to click on this. :backhand_index_pointing_down:

Guess what happened

it changed to this exactly at the same moment: :backhand_index_pointing_down:

And I clicked “Reject file” :cross_mark: and I just got a bit disappointed.
Is it only me who do not find this quite “Well Thought“? :-1: :face_with_diagonal_mouth: :man_facepalming:

@condor @deanrie

I know that I must be a Whiner  , but it makes me a bit nervous :anxious_face_with_sweat: .

Having ‘accept’ and ‘reject’ so close to each other is just poor UI design, IMO. I lost all my work yesterday due to that stupid alignment; suffice to say, I was pretty annoyed. Yes, I had not done a Git commit yet because the issues were still breaking.

Just to point out, if you reject the changes from the agent, you can usually go to each diff / code edit in the chat and click the Reapply option in the context menu.

This should give you the same result, and won’t use up any requests, as the Apply model is free.

It’s generally a good idea to have confirmations for destructive actions.

Hello,

CTRL+Z next time in case you reject unintentionally.

Yes, that works in principle and was the first thing I did, and VS Code crashed.

I’ve written 3D rendering modellers, it’s basic, basic UI design to incorporate confirmation dialogs on destructive actions.

really?

Are you surprised, it’s an editor written in javascript lol.

No

okay, this is not solved yet. Maybe they don’t know how to solve it.

I will give you a suggestion. “Reject file“ should not, must not, may not be between “Accept file“ and the “Pagination navigation“.

  1. Place “Reject file“ to the left.
  2. Place “Accept file“ in the middle
  3. Place “Pagination navigation“ at the right side.

this simple change will solve the issues when the bar shifts to the left when “Review next file“ appears out of the blue.

This problem kills the whole idea of AI generated code.
