It happens all the time. I’ve found I can go into the trash on my Mac and retrieve the file from there, but wtf?
Yep. If it doesn’t delete the file, it deletes large chunks of code from it or replaces it with placeholder comments which appear to be internal hints to the model that fail often recently.
This has happened to me a few times starting this past weekend and as recently as this morning. Initially I thought it was something I was doing but it’s just interacting with the chat and the file disappears.
Not a great experience.
Signed up just to add my comment here. What the actual …?? This is happening to me I thought I was hallucinating, or it was a problem with the drive but no it is actually deleting files if I reject a change! If I wasn’t working in an environment where I need to copy the code from cursor into the “sandbox” I’d be screwed.
Please guys, Love using the app but this is a critical flaw which will generate allot of ill will, fix it please.
Has anyone come across this issue recently? I have been trying to reproduce it but did not work in my case? What did the Cursor team respond to this if anyone had a dialogue? Is it still a valid scenario?
