Apply button missing

Describe the Bug

Sometimes the Apply button is simply missing from the suggested diff in the chat. Sometimes I am able to convince the model to put it back, sometimes not. It’s annoying cause it uses up tokens.
This is not the case where the chat panel is very narrow.
Sometimes, when that happens, it’s not even possible to select and copy the code in the window. So must ask to do it again or retype manually, which defeats the purpose.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Steps to Reproduce

I have no way to reproduce.

Hi, thanks for getting back. Latest occurence was with gpt5. The context window was under ~30%.
This has happened with any model I’ve used.

Dupe of The Apply Button is missing - deanrie, can you re-open that one as there are lots of us having this problem since Dec 2024 (!!), making things pretty unusable. Thanks

I’m seeing the same thing, but only for gpt5 in ask mode. Any other model or mode and it works fine. Also, I’m using http1.1

Describe the Bug

I work in Ask mode almost all the time and see that GPT5 does not have the ‘Apply to file’ function, as the other models do have. Any idea on how to fix it?

Steps to Reproduce

choose gpt5 → choose ask mode → ask for some codes → no apply to but only copy button.

Umm, cursor doesn’t work “fine” with this bug, the best coding model is completely broken. Please fix this.
