Are there any plans to upgrade Cursor's VSCode version in the future?

Since VSCode became open source, it’s been integrating tons of features like the Visual Studio Code Marketplace,
its own MCP registry, a bunch of Copilot-related functionalities, and tons of settings—

so just keeping up with it isn’t exactly straightforward.
That said, does Cursor have any plan for handling updates to shared foundations like Electron, for example?

hi @RyotaMurakami and thank you for your post. We are periodically updating Cursor to newer VSCode versions including the Electron dependency. Note that features which are Microsoft specific are not all available for vscode based IDEs like Cursor.

There was major clash w M$, that’s why they changed to another vscode branch/distribution/store/something.
