Yup. 2.5 Pro used to be my Go-To LLM for reasonably complex yet affordable stuff, but since the switch to the super-token-bug-consumption model, Gemini 2.5 Pro is either AWOL or in clown-mode.

The problem may occur due to active MCP tools. Gemini started working after they were turned off.
Thank you, filed a report about the Gemini MCP issue.
@Artemonim This seems to be tied to the specific MCP. Which MCP was used there? Can you reach out to the MCP creator to check further?
By the way, don’t you log `mcp.json’?
There is in bottom pane tab Output, and it has a dropdown with MCP Logs entry which should show you MCP issues.
We do not log the config file itself.
@Artemonim the specific error is: Unable to submit request because mcp_agent_enforcer_checker functionDeclaration parameters.root schema specified other fields alongside any_of. When using any_of, it must be the only field set.
Its likely that you can see the error also in the MCP Logs in Cursor.
It is strange that the error is not with all models ![]()
Thanks for the feedback!
