Auto Doesnt use ToDo list

Describe the Bug

Auto mode doesnt use the todo list, it says todo_write not found

Steps to Reproduce

Just ask it to implement something that is long horizon and then add the word todo in there, it’ll try to access the todo_write tool but will say Tool todo_write not found.

Expected Behavior

The todo list tool should be called and used to generate an in chat todo list that cursor references

As for now ive tried with sonnet 4 thinking , works well with it

Sonnet 4 should be working well with and without thinking. Auto is the one where you and others reported the todo list issue.

I faced the same issue, but it didn’t show the error as Tool todo_write is not found. When I asked the chat to make a to-do list for a task, it gave me the to-do list as a chat response without making the cursor a to-do list. This happens when I use auto mode, but the Sonnet 4 can make the to-do list correctly. So if we can use a to-do list in auto mode, this would be a big help.
