Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report, I checked the Request ID. This morning the cause was on the provider side, but now it looks different: the request came from a different account, not the one you’re messaging from here.

Your forum account (@gmail.com) is on Pro. But in Cursor IDE right now you’re logged into a different account (your work one, in a team on the free plan). That account has different limits and available models, so you’ll see different speed.

Open Cursor Settings and check which email is shown there. If it’s your work one, try switching to your personal Pro account and see if the slowdown goes away. Let me know what you find.

Different limits? What do you mean? In the pricing it states

How can there be less in Teams than in the normal Pro I use privately. That must be a mistake.

There’s no contradiction in the pricing. Pro and Teams seats have the same included usage. Both include $20 of usage per month. Pro is $20/mo for an individual subscription. Teams is $40/seat/mo. The same $20 goes to usage, and the rest pays for team features like the admin dashboard, SSO, and centralized billing.

In the IDE, you’re currently logged into a work Teams seat, and that seat’s included usage for this month is already used up, which is why things feel slow. Your personal Pro plan on Gmail isn’t being used, so its quota is untouched. So the same Auto can behave differently depending on which account you’re logged into in Cursor, not because the plans are different.

What you can do:

  • Switch in Cursor Settings to your personal Gmail account, the quota there is fresh
  • Ask your team admin to enable on-demand usage or raise the spend limit on the seat

For details about your specific accounts, like current usage on the work seat and what limits your team admin set, it’s best to email [email protected]. The team can check both accounts and explain your situation in detail.
