Hey, thanks for the report. This is an issue we’re tracking: when you try to select nested triggers with the mouse like GitHub → Pull request…, the menu closes before you can click the item. It’s not related to Agent Instructions. It’s an issue with the trigger menu itself.
For now, there are two working workarounds:
Type the trigger name into the search bar at the top of the Add Trigger menu, then click the flat result.
Or use the keyboard arrows to move through the menu and press Enter. Keyboard navigation works fine.
No timeline yet, but I’ll update this thread when there’s news. Let me know if the workarounds don’t help.
Hey @stj, good news about the triggers menu issue you mentioned. Nested options like GitHub → Pull request were collapsing before you could click them. Our team has fixed this.
The fix should roll out to the Automations editor on cursor.com soon, if it hasn’t already. Could you please try again?
If the menu is still collapsing, the workarounds from my last message still work: type the trigger name into the search at the top of the Add Trigger menu and click the flat result, or use the arrow keys plus Enter to navigate.
