Background agent doesn't actually commit changes

Describe the Bug

I have a background agent triggered via Slack that did its first task successfully, but after creating a PR and then asking it for a follow-up it came back and said that it made the changes but didn’t push anything to its branch.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Trigger a new background agent via Slack
  2. Wait for it to complete
  3. Open a PR
  4. Ask it for follow ups using the “Add follow-up” button on the message
  5. Observe that it’ll come back with a “I did it successfully” message but not push any changes to the PR

Expected Behavior

It should push its changes to the open PR
