Backup before updating

Is there any way to make a complete backup of the Cursor before updating, so that if there is any problem, it is possible to revert to the previous version without losing context?
I am still using version 0.45.14 because I am afraid to update, since last time everything broke and delayed me even more.

PS. I use Ubuntu 22.04

Hey, you can backup these folders and restore them if something goes wrong:

$HOME/.config/Cursor and ~/.cursor

First, thank you for the response!
Will this return me exactly to the state before making the backup, if necessary?
Sorry for insisting, it’s just that I’m really trying not to waste time.

Thank you!

Yes, this should restore it to exactly the same state as it was.
