How can I keep the 0.425 version of Cursor and prevent it from upgrading?
I hope the next version will restore the 0.425 UI, or at least offer an option in settings to choose between the different interaction styles.
I want to know too! I downloaded the 0.42.5 version of the app from “0.42.5 Build Links” and it still automatically updated to 0.43.5
Yeah I loved the previous UI and specially CMD+P to add files, now I cannot do that anymore
You can try this method: in the Composer window, press the up arrow key, then hit Enter, and a file selection window should appear. Hopefully, this will help.
Thank you to the Cursor team for all the hard work on the updates! However, I’m still confused by version 0.43, especially with the removal of the long context feature. This has impacted my experience with the tool and helps explain some of the errors I’ve been encountering recently.
I truly value the long context support and the convenient interaction style that Cursor offers. These were the main reasons I chose to use and pay for the tool. I sincerely hope these features can be restored in future versions, or at the very least, that an option could be added to choose between different interaction styles.
If the removal of these features is due to resource constraints, I understand. However, I believe many users, like myself, highly value these features, and restoring them would significantly enhance the product’s value. If the issue is related to resources, I’m more than willing to support the development of the product. If raising the price or offering a special version could bring back these features, I would be happy to pay for it.
I hope the team will consider user feedback and continue to improve the product. Thank you!
