I was happily using version 0.45.15, but out of nowhere, it seems that Cursor IDE “automatically updated” itself to version 0.46? I definitely did not click on any update options, and I found myself on version 0.46 without realizing it.
After browsing through many reviews and feedback about version 0.46, I noticed that most of them were negative. It seems that version 0.46 is not as good as expected.
So, I thought it would be best to return to version 0.45. I downloaded and installed it, but when I opened the program again, it automatically reverted back to version 0.46.
I’m really confused and frustrated. Cursor team, are you aware of the issues with your new version? If you are, I’m curious as to why the update was pushed without sufficient testing, optimization, and fine-tuning.
I truly appreciate the work you do, but as a user, I just want a stable version to work with. What concerns me more is the automatic update, which removes the user’s ability to choose. Even after manually downgrading, the version automatically returns to 0.46.
I hope you can understand my frustration and address these concerns in a way that benefits all users. Thank you for your time.
