Love cursor but I think 0.48 should have been an experimental release and get community feedback before it was rolled out to Everyone

I love cursor, but man, my client auto updating to 0.48.x this week was like someone threw a brick at me out of no where.

Had to spend time figuring out how to go about not only downgrading to older version, but also how to re-configure everything so that it was less convoluted than it was before the upgrade. As for some reason the downgrade didn’t change the convoluted shortcuts etc that 0.48.x forced.

The major changes from 46 to 48 (dunno about 47, because the download for 47 is actually for 48) was too drastic in my opinion. The drastic changes in 0.48 should have been in a beta experimental branch where people could give feedback. I would have gladly raised my voice to let you know that manual is in no way a suitable substitute for Edit functionality in the previous versions.

I need to figure out now how to stop 0.46 from auto updating to 0.48, as I haven’t wasted enough precious project time on 0.48s bs.

I really love Cursor, but 0.48 I feel is a huge miss step in the wrong direction. a Major change like this should have either been in a beta branch with feedback. Or at very least optional and toggle-able in the UI for those who do not want the drastic changes.

Rats, was suppose to post this in Feedback, oh well its in Discussion now

0.48 was available in Early Access, but thank you for the feedback

What issues are you having with Manual

Well, I wasn’t configured for early access, but they automatically pushed this 0.48 update to me, and it’s horrible. Nothing is working properly.

agreed. in the initial of cursor, for more then a day i cant do anything and many posts here regarding the same issue.

the VPN/internet is not working, no explanations or status from the core team.
