Hi, been a subscriber to Cursor for about half a year now so I have been just trying to keep up with all the changes.
I was one of the folks that really loved the floating composer and am glad that you brought it back (kind of).
However, I have been missing the ability to simply cmd+I to add lines of code as context to the new bar view of the composer.
As stands, when I key in cmd+I, the bar goes back to being a side panel composer, requiring me to shift+cmd+K to open it up as a bar again. This is so tedious β is there any way we could just leave it as a bar when a bar is already open? Open to any suggested workarounds as wellβ¦
I guess while I am here I would like to suggest two more things:
-
We should be able to βresetβ the composer while in bar view β this incredibly helpful in previous iterations when the requests started to hang.
-
We should be able to install specific versions of Cursor. I would like to be able to upgrade without worrying about not loving the new changes. Honestly (and I may be biased since it was the first version I tried, but) I felt more productive on the version I started with months ago. I would very much like to feel supported thru backwards compatibility since some of these UI changes can be a bit jarring, and they have had the tendency to remove features I found helpful.
Anyway, thanks for reading and keep up the innovative work.
