Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue affecting some users, and the team is actively working on a fix (high priority).

As a temporary workaround, try:

  • Restart Cursor
  • Sign out and sign back in (Cursor Settings > General)

If that doesn’t help, please keep an eye on updates. The fix should be coming soon.

Already tried your suggestions and even reinstalled. Nothing helped

Thanks for the info. I see that restarting, signing out and back in, and reinstalling didn’t help.

A similar issue is discussed here: Cursor silently switches from Claude to Composer without user consent

A fix should be out soon.
