I have reviewed the Cursor forum and could not find an existing report matching this specific issue with frequent relogin prompts after 3-5 chat sessions.
Bug description:
Users are experiencing a recurring issue where, after engaging in 3-5 chat sessions within Cursor IDE, a popup appears prompting them to relogin. After successfully relogging in, the prompt reappears again after a few more sessions. This cycle repeats multiple times, causing frustration and interrupting workflow. The issue affects multiple accounts within our organization.
How to reproduce the bug:
- Open Cursor IDE on a Windows machine (latest version installed).
- Log in with a valid Business plan account.
- Engage in 3-5 chat sessions (e.g., prompting the AI or interacting with the chat feature).
- Observe the relogin popup appearing after the 3rd to 5th session.
- Relogin as prompted and continue using the IDE; the popup will reappear after another 3-5 sessions.
(Note: The exact trigger may vary slightly, but it consistently occurs within this range of sessions.)
Screenshots:
Operating system and Cursor version
- Operating System: Windows (latest updates applied)
- Cursor Version: 0.48.7
This issue does not completely stop us from using Cursor, but it significantly disrupts productivity due to the frequent interruptions and need to repeatedly relogin. It is a major annoyance for our team, especially during extended work sessions.
