Bugs in files that don't exist

Is anyone else getting these “Problems” in files that don’t exist?

It’s not impacting deployment but it is an eyesore and it makes it more difficult to track and resolve actual problems.

Thanks!

I also do. But it should be checked if it’s reproducible in vscode, this might be an inherited issue

Didn’t see it in vscode

also it has this error: “The editor could not be opened due to an unexpected error: Unable to resolve resource aichat-code-block-anysphere://ntlttbmpwb”

I have the same issue! Also nothing happens in vscode, and it seems to be only cursor related. It’s very distracting, hard to keep track of stuff.

Me too. It’s driving me bonkers. I’ve just spent the last hour trying to find a way to stop it with no joy.

I have this too ,very annoying!
Only started yesterday in my case:

These php files must be used/created by Cursor, they for sure are not mine.

I think this is coming from the “Running a Cursor process in the background to create better results” feature. But I can’t find it under the experimental pane anymore to see if the problems disappear when deactivating the feature. I guess, the feature made it into the main product ^^

I’ve been having this issue. Has anyone found a fix?

Very strange. Can you provide some more context:

  • Are these new?
  • What version of Cursor are you using?
  • What were you doing when these showed up?
  • If you dismiss them do more of them re-appear? Are more appearing over time?

Looking to understand why this is happening and fix it.

Hi @JohnGrahn

Are you sure there aren’t any obvious errors, and the Astro extension is just complaining for no reason? Please check the paths and ensure all necessary files are present in the project.

I’m on Cursor 0.42.2. I’ve never had this type of problem before, but it is also the first time I’m using astro with Cursor. Opening the project in vscode with the astro extension does not show any of these errors. They seem to appear as I’m using the chat without making any actual changes to my files. I’ve attached a screenshot of what message appears when clicking on one of them. It looks like it’s trying to treat the chat as files.

I am going crazy over this!! I have no idea how to get ride of this error. I have two errors like this. And this is after cursor composer helped me implement three files. Nothing seems to help anymore, even deleting those three files. What do i do?!? This really should not be happening.

Latest Cursor version and you cannot dismiss them. They are appearing all the time! Even if u don’t have any files opened! This should not be happening. This needs to be fixed immediately. I am not sure anymore what to do with this cursor, so many bugs. I paid for 12 months ahead, but you guys need to start fixing this software. It’s useless for me currently.

I opened composer window (CTRL + I) and deleted all the composers and all the notebooks. The problem is gone now it seems.

Those errors are from the composer and are very easy to dismiss. They are by-products of the composer creation process.

Just create a new composer (if you have just one you cannot delete the only composer) and delete the previous ones showing these errors.

Yes, those errors are annoying to see, but reading that they make cursor unusable is unexplicable.

The reason it is Unusable is because when you try to Debug it insta-fails and focuses the Problems window.

Same situation here. I opened a composer with ctrl+i, went to history and deleted the 2 history items and this fixed it. But I’ll be having to do this constantly to keep them out of the problems panel.

Where do these snippets for AI actually physically exist? Is there a hidden directory that the Astro extension maintainers could ignore? Sorry, I don’t understand how this works.

Same here…
