I’m considering using my own Anthropic API key with Cursor. Could you please clarify:

  • Which Cursor features would remain available when using a custom Anthropic API key?
  • Would I still have access to Chat, Composer, and autocomplete functionality?
  • Are there any limitations or differences in functionality when using a custom API key?"

Hi @IvanOboth

With an active subscription, you can use all functions while keeping your API key enabled. But if you want to use something like Composer, you’ll need to disable your API key each time you need it. If your initial question was about canceling your subscription in favor of using only the API key, then Composer, Apply Code, and Cursor Tab won’t be available.
