Can we please add an option to disable auto scroll on chat window?
Thanks.

There isn’t currently a way to disable auto-scroll in the chat window. Will pass to the team to consider!
+1 for this. Auto-scroll is annoying when following/comparing long Chat results and switching back-and-forth. Especially so
- if there is NO new output
- if following/comparing previous Chat results.
Personally, I can’t see a need/benefit/use case for auto-scroll if there is NO new output. But, if you can think of such a need/benefit/use case, please add it to the three values below.
If possible, have three alternatives (values):
- auto-scroll on new output, even if the current scroll view is not at the (current) end.
- auto-scroll on new output, if the current scroll view is at the (current) end.
- don’t auto-scroll (on new output, or on any event) at all (even if the current scroll view IS at the current end), BUT somehow indicate that there is new/more output available (blinking three dots…). Good when reading the current (existing) output.
Hey, actually you can disable it on the Features tab in the Chat section.
I can’t find neither a Features tab nor a Chat section in the Cursor Settings (cursor 2.0). Has this setting been removed? Auto-scroll to bottom is still happening by default, eg while typing out the next message and trying to cross-reference something further up in chat while typing.
