Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Cannot scroll to the bottom of the Change Set Tab in Cursor IDE

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open a project with git repo with some commits
  2. Go to Source Control on the Primary Side Bar
  3. Click on one of the commits in the GRAPH section
  4. In the opened tab with the commited file changes - Try to scroll to the bottom

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. I can’t reproduce this. Please try restarting Cursor and check again.

Also, please update to the latest version of Cursor and test once more:

If it still reproduces after the update, let me know here.

This issue appeared around updating to v2.1.something, couple weeks ago. And I have restarted Cursor many times since then, as well as rebooted my computer many times. It’s still there, even after the yesterday’s update to 2.1.50

Version: 2.1.50 (user setup)

Just tried on my second computer (laptop)

Version: 2.1.48 (user setup)

Issue is also there. One note: it is reproducible only if commit change set is not very big, just barely not fitting to the screen. In case of a large commit change set, that scrolls over multiple screen hights - it works fine for me.

Oh, I’ve narrowed it down even more: your commit has to have only a single file changed.

Thanks for the clarification and repro steps. Please help us narrow down the cause:

  • Launch Cursor without extensions: close the app and run cursor --disable-extensions in a terminal, then repeat the steps.
  • Reset zoom: View > Appearance > Zoom Reset.
  • Open Help > Toggle Developer Tools, go to the Console tab. Scroll to the problematic moment and send the console errors/warnings.

I did all of that. There are no any error logs in Dev Tools that seem related to the scroling. One more example of bad scrolling for a commit with bigger changeset - see the attached screen recording:
