Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Cursor IDE
Describe the Bug
I’ve run into a small but annoying issue with the new “Agent Window” feature in Cursor, so I decided to write a bug report about it.
When switching between chats, the scroll often doesn’t jump to the end of the chat. This issue has been around for a while in the regular chat view of Cursor.
However, in the “Agent Window” it gets worse. When switching chats, the side panel with the agent’s review of the work automatically tries to open. This panel also shows the terminal and other features.
Because of the side panel, it’s impossible to scroll by holding and dragging with the mouse — the cursor turns into the panel resize control when hovering near the scroll area. Right now I’m forced to use the mouse wheel to scroll through the chat, which is frustrating.
Unfortunately, I can’t attach screenshots because my cursor doesn’t appear in them.
I also find it annoying that the review panel opens automatically. I haven’t found a setting to disable this behavior yet, and I hope such an option exists or will be added soon.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open the Agent Window side panel.
- Switch between chats with long content.
- Attempt to scroll by click-and-drag.
