Can't go through docs

Describe the Bug

I have tried using both docs link and also llm.txt for docs but cursor doesn’t access those docs and always does web search.

Steps to Reproduce

Just need to index a specific doc that is not already provided and it won’t be searchable.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report. Please make sure your documentation is added and indexed.

Here’s how to set it up:

  1. Open Cursor Settings Cmd+Shift+J
  2. Go to Cursor Settings > Indexing & Docs
  3. Click “Add doc”
  4. Add the Resend documentation URL https://resend.com/docs/introduction
  5. Check the indexing status - it should show green

Could you also let me know if this happens in a brand new chat? And which model you’re using? I’ve just tested it on my side and everything works fine here.

Yes it was indexed successfully. But still couldn’t refer to the docs, and it’s not with Resend onl,y I tried for “Novu” docs, they won’t work either.

I am using claude-sonnet-4.5-thinking

Thanks for confirming the docs are indexed. To help with further investigation, please provide:

  • The Request ID from an affected chat:

    • Chat context menu (top right) > Copy Request ID
  • Does this also happen in a completely new chat with a simple question directly related to the indexed documentation?

This will help us understand whether it’s a retrieval issue or something else.
