Are you chatting with Cmd+Enter or @Codebase? By default, the chat just uses your current file.
This button “with codebase” appeared just recently after multiple restarts, index deletion and reindexing…
Definitely some UX gap there, it’s not clear what am I missing or what am I capable to do, like do I have the codebase indexed and I can query it? That button seems like the only indicator and if its missing for some reason like in my case, I am just lost and no idea if things are working fine or not…
Also on the website I couldn’t find information on where exactly I am supposed to enable or find codebase indexing… I found it by clicking everything I could. Since this is the main use case (at least for majority of people I assume) it should be very clearly described and obvious, but right now feels quite hidden and hard to troubleshoot.
Please don’t take this as a complain but more as a feedback for improvement…
Now things seem to be working, I can see the step by step process, which files are being considered in the completion etc.
