stability is actively being worked on! things are starting to look better. i recommend restarting cursor by quitting and it should fix it for now. with the new client update that wont be needed.
Tried restarting cursor, still does not work, yes am gonna be going stackoverflow and etc, the prehistoric era of AI for a while
Goodluck soldier, hope you don’t get lost on the way back, it should get resolved for you soon
Thank you Colonel, I will go forth and conquer. Lol
Trying to conquer, not exactly working, when will the indexing thing start working, how did you manage to get indexing to work???
working on building and testing 0.14.1. once that is released, you can download from the website to instantly get it. that should be a bit more stable.
we are also working on some changes to allow indexing to be fairer to users. we currently can only process a fixed number of files / minute. trying to make that number go higher but its hard work.
It’s the next day and still indexing doesn’t work. I’ve restarted both the regular and nightly builds and it just doesn’t work.
When will the new build release, also when will indexing start in the current build
@sualeh
The new 0.14.1 update fixes the issue where indexing got stuck.
Hey I updated but this never gets completed for me, what can be the issue? I will restart and try again to see if that works, I’ve already tried cancelling and restarting
@nishant Did the restart work?
as i see it is slowly indexing things? do you see it hang again. can you email or post logs for output > indexing and retreival? we are distributing capacity more equally to all users.
Questions -
→ I kept it on for hours still its stuck at the same levels as mentioned above
→ how can I send logs here? any documentation I can refer too? can you DM me to get the logs.
I have the same problem.
I am trying to index a large codebase and it syncs in 3 seconds…100% so it seems it is nor working properly
I can not find where “Codebase Indexing” is, can anybody point it to me? No search anything shows me where it might be. I see in peoples screenshots its under the settings from right top corner of the editor and in the modal that opens up, but I’ve not nothing there that says “Codebase indexing”
ok now found out the “Codebase Indexing” is moved to Chat window and then click More.
For me “Resync Index” didn’t seem like doing anything, I had to delete and re-index, then I saw all my files being indexed…
But even after indexing finished, simple questions about my code base are not answered… Wondering what am I missing here.
