Site simply returns a 500 when trying to upgrade to pro

I also tried upgrading to Pro twice, was charged twice, but still on free plan.
Also have not received a receipt for either charge.
(Iām sure this is due to the server issues)

Yes the settings screen is now recognising subscription.
