Chat history is lost when working with multiple projects in separate Cursor tabs

Describe the Bug

Hi team,

When I work with multiple Cursor tabs open—each containing a different project—I lose the chat history for those projects once I close the tabs. This makes it difficult to resume previous conversations when reopening a project, as the past chats are no longer accessible.

This issue is affecting my ability to maintain context across different projects. Please let me know if you need any logs or additional information to help investigate.

Thanks!

Steps to Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce:

Open multiple Cursor windows (not just tabs), each one with a different project loaded.

In each project, initiate one or more chats to ask for assistance or generate code.

Continue working on each project independently, switching between windows as needed.

As you finish work on each project, close its corresponding window—or in some cases, close all project windows at once.

Later, reopen one of the projects in a new Cursor window.

Expected Behavior

Each project should retain its individual chat history, even when worked on in separate windows and after those windows are closed. When reopening a project, Cursor should restore the associated chats so that previous conversations can be resumed or referenced.
