Describe the Bug
After Cursor froze and closed, I logged out and then back in. Upon reopening, I was prompted to reconfigure as if it were a fresh install. Although I see old chat titles in the History panel, clicking them only shows “Loading chats” and then opens a new chat.
Steps to Reproduce
The issue occurs spontaneously after using Cursor; I have not found a reliable way to reproduce it every time. In my experience:
After some time, the editor freezes and closes unexpectedly (this happened twice).
Upon reopening Cursor, I was automatically logged out and prompted to reconfigure theme and settings.
I open the Chat History panel, see old entries, and click one—“Loading chats” appears, then a new empty chat opens.
Expected Behavior
Clicking an existing chat in the History panel should load the full message history
