Anyone else unable to see their chat history when they click the “Show chat history” icon on the top right? I also tried the keyboard shortcut with no success.
In a new chat i can still see the most recent 3 and access them but if i hit “View All” also nothing. I really need this feature, any advice on getting this to work is greatly appreciated.
I checked the developer console and it says:
“workbench.desktop.main.js:2922 [ian] showChatHistoryButton not found, cannot render history menu. this is pretty bad”
Hey, which version of Cursor are you using? Also, try clearing the cache, it might help.

v0.46.8 but has been happening ever since 0.46
I tried deleting the following directories in Application Support/Cursor
- Session Storage
- Cache
- CachedData
- CachedProfilesData
- Session Storage
I also uninstalled and reinstalled.
also can’t see my history. i’m on .46.9
I backed up the workspace, settings.json, extensions folder, etc. uninstalled, deleted the whole cursor folder, reinstalled and then manually copied workspace and settings.Json, cache, cache extensions etc and it worked with minimal pain. @gflores1023
