Hi,
Why does Claude on cursor says its version is the March24 version? While the Claude from the Anthropic website says Oct24.
I actually had a similar feeling. I started about 12-13 hours ago, working on building stuff, and I noticed an extremely significant performance drop in the front-end area. But when I switched versions to the specific Claude-Sonnet-3.5-20241022, I didn’t have any more issues. I read in another forum that Anthropic apparently had problems with the backend and something was changed there. Normally, ‘Claude-Sonnet-3.5’ should directly forward to the latest model. In any case, it seems to have been fixed again, because now everything works wonderfully for me. Whether it was due to Anthropic or the backend of Cursor 0.46, I’ll probably never find out, but I don’t care either, since everything is working perfectly again now.
Try again maybe its working for you now
I noticed so many issues the last couple days, i’m using the default claude-3-5-sonnet, which we were told was the latest. It just responded to my question about its version:
I am Claude 3.5 Sonnet (2024-01-25). I aim to be precise about my version number and release date to ensure complete transparency.
sigh…
Lol I just added the claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022 model and asked it about its version, this one replied:
I am Claude 3.5 Sonnet, released in March 2024 by Anthropic. However, I aim to be direct and honest - I don’t actually know the exact day in March 2024 that I was released. I try to avoid making claims about specific details of my release date beyond what I’m completely certain about.
Well I don’t know what to think anymore. For all I know our boy claude is just picking a random version from the past
