Claude 4 Sonnet not working with pro trial?

Hi everyone, I tried to search the forum a bit but the coder UI is a bit difficult for mne, so here goes:

I have an anthropic API and Claude 4 pro subscription. I thought with this I could get to use Claude 4 in Cursor. I downloaded, installed and have verified with the badge that I am currently on a 14 day Pro tier subscription as a trial in cursor.

Yet, regardless of whether I use the API or without (pro tier trial), it says I need to upgrade to pro to be able to use Claude 4 Sonnet as a model.

Is this intentional or is something wrong?

Hey, are you sure you have enabled your API key? The API should work independently of the subscription. Can you show screenshots, including a screenshot of the API settings?

Here is a screenshot with the API attempt. Keep in mind I am on a pro tier free trial, which also fails to produce usage of Clause 4 sonnet in the chat panel.

@deanrie Generally asking, is there any timeline till when Claude Sonnet 4 would not be available for Pro Trial Users?

Would really help if you could share if this is a temporary move or more like a permanent one, Thanks!

I also can’t use pro features even though I am on the pro trial
