Clear ‘Processing vs. Done’ Indicator for Long-Running Prompts

When I run a long prompt, it can take quite a while to finish. While I’m waiting, I like to do something productive—like push-ups or a quick workout—and step away from my desk.

The only way to tell if the prompt is still running is the tiny animated dots, which I can’t see from 2-3 meters away. Could you add a more obvious indicator—maybe a color change or a larger banner—that clearly shows “processing” and “completed”? It would make it much easier to know when the prompt is done without constantly checking the screen.

You can turn on in the settings the completion sound.
Additionally you can turn on the vscode terminal sound if your agent uses terminals.

This sounds cool !

but even after I check the option:

Play sound on finish BETA
[v] Play a sound when a chat response is completed

nothing changed when chat pane complete prompt…

Could you check the sound volume? It may be that the sound is not loud.

Another options to try. Restart Cursor after setting the setting.

Alternatively check following solution for this issue which worked for some users if they could not get the sound otherwise.

Hope this was helpful
