Clicking chat history does nothing and replaces active chats

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Sometimes when I have an agent tab open, clicking the chat history to open a previous tab will replace the currently active tab instead of opening a new tab. When this happens, the ability to click the chat history icon at all stops working while the current agent is doing work. This prevents other chats from being opened back up. If any other tabs are open still, clicking on them away from the currently active tab restores the chat history icon functionality and the menu opens again.

Steps to Reproduce

This is not a consistent bug but it happens pretty regularly during daily use.

  1. Start an agent task
  2. While agent is still running, open the chat history and click on another item in the history
  3. Cursor sometimes replaces the currently active chat with this older chat tab
  4. Try to click the chat history icon and it shouldn’t show anything

Expected Behavior

Clicking chat in history opens the tab separately instead of replacing current chat. Clicking chat history icon displays the chat history.
