Closing Open Chat From All Agents Deletes It from Past Chat History

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When closing an open chat in the Agent Chat feature, the chat is also removed from the past chat history. This behavior is unexpected, as closing a chat should not delete it from the history.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Cursor IDE.
  2. Start a new chat session in the Agent Chat panel.
  3. Interact with the chat to generate some conversation history.
  4. Close the open chat (e.g., by closing the chat by clicking archive icon or selecting delete).
  5. Open the past chat history.
  6. Observe that the recently closed chat is no longer listed in the past chat history.

Expected Behavior

Closing an open chat should only close the current session in the Agent Chat panel and not remove it from the past chat history. The chat should remain accessible in the history for future reference.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Yea, this happens for me too. Seems like a bug, especially since archive and delete do the same thing.
