Code privacy and security measures

We are currently evaluating various IDEs with AI features and cursor seems well rounded with all the features, we went through your privacy policy page Terms of Service | Cursor - The AI-first Code Editor.

However, we need more information and assurance that

  • Code is not stored in any system

  • Code is not used to improve the AI model or for any other

  • Code is not used / stored for any analytics

Any proof or documentation that can reassure us about the above points would be greatly appreciated.

We have same question here. Can anyone please help to clarify?

As long as privacy-mode is enforced, we do not store your code or use it to train any model. We have custom ZDR relationships with the core model providers to ensure this extends to our 3Ps as well. You can see it broken down by 3P here too: https://cursor.com/security
