Codebase Indexing - Handshake failed Claude

Already happened several times on this forum, but issue happening this morning on version 0.45.11.
Tried logging out and in again, delete index and re-indexing, nothing works.
I am using Claude and everything looks fine on Anthropic’s side.

Hey, are you using a VPN at the moment? I checked and everything is fine on my end. There might be an issue with your internet connection. However, if there are more complaints, I’ll report it to our developers.

No I am not using any VPN, it worked until yesterday. Here are more info about my cursor install:

I’m facing same issue with @icon after updated to 0.45.11 . Can you help to check with DEV team ?

Could you share screenshots from the Output panel? You need to select Cursor Indexing & Retrieval from the dropdown menu.

Yes, here is the output:

Seems that https://repo42.cursor.sh is not responding…

Previously, if indexing was unsuccessful, Cursor would use BM25 as a replacement for embedding. However, now, if I want to use @Codebase, I must successfully complete indexing and am required to use embedding in order to use the chat feature with @Codebase.

Is it possible to use BM25 as a replacement for this requirement, like before, to chat with @Codebase?

Hi, I still did not manage to solve my problem. Did you manage to find something on your side @deanrie with my screenshot?

Hey, yes, we’re working on fixing it.
