Codebase Indexing - Handshake failed

Still running into this issue on version 0.48.7

Has anyone managed to resolve this issue? I’ve tried everything I could think of. Formatted the machine, followed the ‘Disable HTTP/2’ advice from the docs, did a full uninstall and wiped every related file and folder, but nothing works. It just gets stuck on ‘Loading…’ or throws a ‘Handshake failed.’ This is driving me nuts. Super frustrating.

I have the same issue now.

The status.cursor.com, tells “All Systems Operational”, but I’m not sure about that

Hey, open the Output panel by going to View -> Output. In the dropdown menu, select Cursor Indexing & Retrieval and check the logs.

Thank you, I found the problem:

2025-04-09 12:04:01.763 [info] Handshake start
2025-04-09 12:05:05.875 [warning] Retrying handshake with timeout 128000. Error: [unauthenticated] Error

I logged out and logged in again, and now works.

By the way, it would be helped if the error was more specific in the UI.
