Codebase indexing is "Loading..." Infinitely

Codebase Indexing is showing “Loading…” infinitely, and Agent takes more than 5 minutes to answer when I ask a question.

The symptom has been occurring since May and has been over a month.

I tried several things.

  • I deleted Cursor and reinstalled it. Rebooted.
  • Disabled HTTP2.
  • Reinstalled Visual C++.
  • Copying the project folder and creating it with a different name and trying to open the folder.

None of these attempts worked for me.
When I copy the project folder I’m working on to another computer and open it with Cursor, it works fine.

It doesn’t seem to be a problem with the project files.

Should I delete the registry left by Cursor?

I think I need some initialization related to Codebase Indexing, but I don’t know how.

If anyone has solved the same problem, please share it.

Hey, have you also tried moving the project folder to a different location on your drive? If that doesn’t help, try reinstalling Cursor, as it seems to be an issue on your side.

Unfortunately, none of the methods work for me. Downgrading the version is the only way.
