Codex Max “free until Dec 11” – why am I still seeing a charge?

Hey team,

I’m on Ultra plan and excited about the free GPT-5.1-Codex-Max until Dec 11th. But I just ran a quick test (1913 tokens) and it’s showing $0.67 charged/included in usage. I’ve seen similar comments in this thread: https://forum.cursor.com/t/codex-free-till-dec-11th-not-for-me/145274 – folks on Plus/others getting unexpected fees despite the promo.

Is this a display bug, or am I actually being charged? More importantly, after Dec 11th, will long-term heavy use (e.g., daily coding sessions) rack up real costs on Ultra, or is there some cap/inclusion? Just want to confirm before diving in deeper – thanks!
