Free usage on us is misleading?

Below is a screenshot of my usage widget inside the Cursor IDE

As you can see it says I have +$142.25 of free usage on Cursor.

Yesterday I noticed in my usage dashboard on the web a lot of the requests were marked as ‘included’ with a cost of $0 which I assume was consumption of my free usage, as this same free usage number is not visible on the web dashboard. Later in the day these same requests switched to ‘On-Demand’ and my on-demand usage spiked to $60.

From looking at other posts, I thought that free credits are supposed to be consumed first. Are these free credits real or a UI bug? I would not have consumed so many tokens without that additional free usage as I now no longer have enough for the rest of billing cycle.

Today we suddenly noticed very high “Free Usage” amounts for our Team Account members — up to $1,000. That’s significantly higher than in previous months.

I hope this is just a display bug, because if such usage were to be billed as “On-Demand” in the future, we’d have to consider alternative options.
