Complaints, need to vent

I just got in an argument with Sonnet about my dependencies in my pubspec.yaml and I am about done using Cursor. It insisted that I needed to remove dependencies that were not there. It then realized its error and then admitted I was right. And in the very next response it told me to remove the exact same dependencies that we just argued about and it told me I was right. I get it, that’s not really Cursor’s fault but I keep blowing through all my fast credits with nonsense like this and am then relegated to waiting forever to have my requests complete for another 3 weeks.

I get stuck trying to resolve errors that the AI creates because it ignores my rules. And then it can’t fix the errors without going around in circles, wasting my fast credits.

The agent runs terminal commands that constantly crash and then it goes down some rabbit hole thinking something is wrong with the code when its really just the terminal implementation in the agent.

It constantly recommends deprecated methods. I can update my rule file to not use them, but I am trying not to create a sea of context because then the AI gets dumb.

I am sick of wasting all of my credits on nonsense and then being relegated to waiting forever just to get into hallucinatory arguments with a machine.

Sorry, I am just really frustrated and needed to vent.

Hey, another flutter dev here

Cursor seems dumber on Dart (vs Next.js, Python)?

I’m considering going back to my chat workflow - straighforward, less surprises & BS.

We need to be able to pipr Cursor to whatever we like.

However/also: Try the following directive:

Always wrap commands in a .ps1 and shave all to /scripts. Add Appropriate header and description and invokation.

If you tell it to tell you what its doing and you tell it to log its stuff,

There are so many of us talking about this, but you do need to be really explicit in telling the bot what to do.

TELL IT EXACTLY. onference is for the chimps.
