Hi, the claude and gpt-series image input works fine in CHAT mode when I manually uploaded the image file.
But it fails to read image files from @url or @local file, and it has wired response behavior. Is this a bug?

Hey,
When adding a URL to a prompt, make sure you hit the Add Link popup. If you start typing to quick after pasting a URL, the popup won’t show. Like so:
You can tell a link will be looked at correctly when it turns blue, like so:
I did clicked the link popup, it failed as well.
Neither the link or a local jgp file, it failed.
Hey,
Do you have a URL you don’t mind sharing that I can try and reproduce this with?
Feel free to send it to me privately if you want.
Thanks for the quick reply. Please check this url and prompt in both Command+L and Command+K mode:
@https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71oe9rX0KBL._AC_UL640_FMwebp_QL65_.jpg Can you describe this photo?
Note that I clicked the link
.
I got this with Claude in Command+L:
I apologize, but I'm unable to properly interpret the content from the provided URL. The data appears to be in a binary/encoded format rather than a readable image format. To help describe an image, I would need either:
A properly formatted image URL that displays the actual image
A text description of what the image contains
If you'd like me to describe the image, please feel free to either share a working image link or describe what you see in the image yourself.
got this in Command+K in a blank text file:
https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71oe9rX0KBL._AC_UL640_FMwebp_QL65_.jpg
BTW, please test the local image understanding in Command+K mode. It fails to see the actual local image(in my case, it’s a .jpg file) and just answer general garbage words.
