Composer doesn't suggest changes on the code

I am a pro subscriber.

When I add the source code file to cursor and use composer to ask what I need, it gives some suggestions but changes it proposed does not appear on the actual source code itself, it status in the chat. composer, automatically prints “Cancelled (1 file changed)” even though I did not cancel any suggestion.

I tried to re-install with clean settings, it does not work.

Hey, which version of Cursor are you using?

Hey!

Version: 0.45.3
VSCode Version: 1.96.2

Update: I tried a new repo, cursor is able to propose. But the main repo I am using still has the same behavior.

I encountered the same error yesterday with the selected DeepSeek R1 model. Which model were you using?

I tried different models, it doesn’t change the behavior

I am experiencing a similar issue.

In CHAT or COMPOSER the AI says it will change the code, but nothing happens. Unlike 2 weeks ago, when suggestions would be followed by a change in code with the option to accept.

It looks like the AI can’t actually see the code - but its really good at making me think it does.

I am a pro user, found out through the forum there is a new version and updated to 0.45. Still the same issue. There are no known issues with Cursor, i see. I can mannually do corrections, no access right issues.

In settings, cursor tab 'a powerful… ’ is checked. Under the chat, Claude-3.5-sonnet is showing.

Any tips would be welcome.

Hey, can you try to start a new Composer session, and confirm if that works as expected?

If not, can you send a screenshot with an example of Composer failing like you’ve described?
