[composer] Error loading composer data

I can’t seem to load any projects today. The agent sidebar never ends up loading and is stuck at “Loading Chat”. After a bit of time I see a prompt saying the window is not responding.

Opening the developer tools I see the error loading composer data. And some Java-related stuff even though I open a non-Java project.

PS: I did ran out of space locally by the end of last week, or at least the system drive had ~200MB left (or so it reported) - makes me think I have a corrupted Cursor DB. Any way to repair it?

PS2: Ticking don’t restore editors and restarting Cursor fixes the loading of the particular project directory. But the history for it is gone.

Someone reported similar issue and they solved it by removing their chat history (renaming project does that).

Thanks, I wonder if there is a way to locate the DB and fix it, at least partially, rather than delete the history or start fresh.

You will sure find the DB location for your OS in the forum. I havent tried opening the file myself but i use an extension SpecStory to backup the chats, later i can reference it with @. (Its not made by me) Built a Cursor Extension to save and share chat and composer history

Those who had that issue had too many chats, so removing some old ones in sqlite would work i guess (not a cursor internal dev)
