Composer input box not working on Cursor 0.45.5

After updating Cursor to 0.45.5 I haven’t been able to type or paste anything in the Composer input box. The Chat tab works fine.

I’ve tried to restart Cursor and initiate a new Composer but the problem persists.

Version: 0.45.5
VSCode Version: 1.96.2
Commit: e599ee6d2218c8b6fef45980f8cc964bacc0caa0

Electron: 32.2.6

Note: I’ve already reported this issue to Cursor using the “Report issue” option.

It is still NOT working for the project I am working on.

If I open another folder or workspace it works. The issue seems to be related to the workspace I am currently working on. However, it is important to note that 40min ago, before updating, it was working just fine.

I’m experiencing the same issue. When I restart the app, either the chat or composer function stops working - I can’t type or paste text into them. Which function works and which doesn’t seems to change randomly with each app restart.

@eurasec, I just tried the option ‘Open Composer as Editor’, then toggled back using ‘Open as Pane’ now it works again.

How can I move the Chat window back to the secondary panel (AI bar) in VS Code/Cursor? I accidentally moved the frozen Chat window to the primary side panel, but I want it restored to its original location in the secondary pane where Chat and Composer typically reside. Is there a way to do this?

You be able to pop open the right panel using the icons at the top right of Cursor, and then just drag the pane back into that panel!

I tried to drag the pane with its name, with its icon to everywhere on the right (secondary) panel but it just do not move there :frowning: You may see that on the screenshot “composer” is hovering the right panel but id does not sit there

Try dragging it to the top of the pane, roughly where the ‘Composer’ text would sit, inline with the X on the right.
