Context files in chat option

After a long time searching for information, videos and analysis, I recently decided to use Cursor as my personal IDE for my programming projects.

I had only used Open AI and Anthropic APIs in my projects (I had only used Sonnet with the pro version in Cursor until now) and yesterday I decided to use DeepSeeker in Cursor.

I had already read in a forum post that Composer did not work with DeepSeeker but it was worth trying it because the Chat option also works very well.

But every time I ask a question, I have to add the context files. I say this because I am in an advanced project with Sonnet and I tried to use DeepSeeker to see how it worked and what suggestions it gave me.

Is this due to some Cursor option or can DeepSeeker not see the entire project unless I add the files in context one by one?

Why does having to add the files manually in each question seem unfunctional to me.

So, can’t you read them or is it because of some option I have enabled or not enabled in Cursor?

Hey, in chat, you should always add the necessary context or use the @codebase function so the model gets the right context.

Hi !!

I was unaware of this implementation! And now I understand many of the errors I’ve had so far.

This is wonderful !!!

Do you know if there is a tutorial with Cursor’s functionalities? It would be nice.

Thank you very much !! This not only helps me to be able to use DeepSeek but it also explains many of the errors I’ve had.

!!

You can check out our documentation.

Yeah !

I thought they were unrelated articles!

But I’m already studying and practicing it :heart:.

Thanks again because your information is going to save me many hours of wasted effort and disappointment

A hug !!
