Describe the Bug
Ever since the new update, Cursor runs extremely slowly and crashes often, to the point where I can’t use it anymore. Just noting this!

I use it daily with Windows 11 (10.0.26100 Build 26100), wsl2, Ubuntu 24.04 and haven’t experienced a problem with a single cursor or multiple cursors running. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
Hey, are you seeing errors like these, or do you get outright crashes, as this is something we are currently looking into:
Hello, when using Cursor version 0.50.7 on my main Linux workstation, the application constantly freezes with a “Cursor Is Not Responding” message.
I’ve tested it on a Windows laptop and I don’t have this problem, so it seems to be particular to Linux (maybe?)…

I did notice when this happens that the disk lights go crazy, and running a system monitor on the side confirms that it is writing to disk when it freezes.
Digging a bit more I ran this command to see where Cursor was writing…

Same issue for me. I used to run it on Windows both directly on Windows 11 and mostly WSL Ubuntu and never a problem.
Now I installed Ubuntu 24 and Cursor, and Cursor lags a lot “not responding”
