Cursor 2.0 UI is absurd: Agents, Search Agents, New Agent, Agent, New Agent

This is the default UI layout of Cursor 2 after I open a folder. It’s absurd. “Agents, Search Agents, New Agent, Agent, New Agent”. On the very top there’s a name of the folder (here blurred). WTF?

In Agents tab, the primary side bar is on the right, in Editor tab it’s on the left. Why not make it fully random?

Upon first launch, the app mentioned something about “IDE mode”. I’m trying to get to it. How? In Command Palette when I search for “IDE”, there’s some “Toggle Agent Window IDE Unification”. What does this mean? How do I turn on the IDE mode?

OK, I looks like “Toggle Agent Window IDE Unification”, the “Editor” tab and the “IDE mode” are one and the same thing. Why does Cursor three different terms for it?

It’s insane. OK, I’ve gone back to VSCode Insiders, which is more predictable.
