The latest Cursor update appears to have removed or hidden the agent delete functionality. Previously, users could delete unused agents, projects, and chats to keep the workspace clean and organized.
This feature is important for:
Managing storage and workspace clutter
Removing unnecessary or outdated agents
Keeping project lists organized
Improving overall user experience
Please consider restoring the delete agent functionality or providing an alternative way to remove unwanted agents, projects, and chat history.
Steps to Reproduce
Open Cursor
Navigate to the Agent/Chat section
Right-click on any chat or agent
Observe that the options/context menu is not showing the delete feature
Expected Behavior
A delete/remove option should be available in the context menu to allow users to delete chats, agents, or projects.
Hey, thanks for the report. This isn’t a bug, it’s a change in the Glass layout. In the context menu, Delete is now Archive. This was done on purpose so you don’t accidentally lose chat history. Archived chats are removed from the active list, and you can restore them later if needed.
I’m trying to clean up my workspace and want to permanently delete some old chat conversations. However, I can’t seem to find a “Delete” button anywhere.
When I hover over a conversation, the only action available is “Archive”.
When I right-click to open the context menu, I only see options to Pin, Rename, Mark as Unread, and Archive.
Is there a hidden way to permanently delete these chats, or is archiving the only option available right now?
