Cursor-agent keeps switching to 'ask' mode

Describe the Bug

I ctrl+c’d from a bad agent run (Aborted mid-deleting) and came back to the typing dialog, and then when I tried to send a new prompt to build something, it said it ‘Switch to Agent mode and I’ll implement this for you.’ at the end. It should automatically switch itself to Agent mode, and not be in Ask mode in the first place anyways. I exited and restarted with the same command and it was fine.

Steps to Reproduce

I can provide logs? Try the above.

Expected Behavior

It should not be in ask mode when I didn’t ask questions and switch itself back to agent mode.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. This looks like a state management bug in the CLI after Ctrl+C. The mode should be preserved, not reset to Ask.

I’ll pass this on to the team. For now, the workaround is to restart the CLI, like you did.
